THE FIVE-STEPS TO INDUSTRIAL AND SPECIAL WASTE HANDLING
Waste Management's industrial and special waste services involve five separate steps, each of which is critical to successful industrial and special waste disposal.

EVALUATION - Waste Management representatives will work with you to determine the nature of your industrial and special waste. They will create a waste profile and send it to Waste Management technical managers for review and approval. Factors considered include state regulations, the process by which the waste was generated, its physical and chemical properties, its volume and its method of packaging and shipment.
IDENTIFYING DISPOSAL ALTERNATIVES - Some wastes can be directly landfilled; others can be disposed of following special treatment; some materials can be recycled while others may require incineration. Your Waste Management representative will present you with the management options available for your industrial and special waste.
PROVIDING PROPER DOCUMENTATION - Waste Management personnel will assist you with the preparation of shipping documents and/or manifests.
LANDFILL DISPOSAL- Following the landfill gate inspection, Waste Management will direct your industrial and special waste to the working face of the landfill where it will be subject to additional visual inspection before final acceptance and unloading.

ONGOING SITE SECURITY AND MONITORING - Waste Management will ensure the physical security of your disposed wastes. All of Waste Management's landfill sites are protected by fences, single gate entry stations and, in many cases, 24-hour security cameras.
